Announcing Spencer Study Club 2.0

Who is SSC 2.0 For: General dentists, specialists, and their teams who want confident TMD & sleep competency without a high cost residency with limited clinical value; clinicians who value evidence‑based pragmatism built on real world experience over ideology; practices that want repeatable workflows and better outcomes.

Who is SSC 2.0 Not For: CE collectors who don’t implement; folks who prefer complexity for complexity’s sake; anyone looking for a get rich quick scheme.

What’s new in 2.0

  • Every original module re‑recorded with clearer visuals, tighter frameworks, updated evidence, and more practical pearls.
  • Hours of new content: regenerative tools (PRP/PRGF/PRF), photobiomodulation, advanced sleep topics (HNS, GLP‑1s), profitability, marketing that actually works, 3D printing, and MD collaboration, with case studies and recommendations based on hundreds of real practice experiences of SSC members over the past 8 years.
  • Implementation kits: decision trees, scripts, letters, forms—so you always know what to do next. • Team enablement: short, targeted videos your team can use immediately, plus they get access to all of the core content too, making team training much more effective and affordable.
  • Live support: peer lead case reviews and Q&A so you’re never stuck alone.
  • Multiple learning modes: video, audio downloads, and searchable transcripts. Learn the way you learn best, when and where works best for you.

The SSC Mentoring Group: Where the Real Magic Happens

SSC 2.0 isn’t just about the core curriculum in Levels 1–5. The real value explodes when you plug into our mentoring group—the ongoing support system that connects you with me and hundreds of like-minded colleagues who are in the trenches every day, just like you. This is the part of Spencer Study Club that keeps you sharp, connected, and constantly growing.

Here’s what’s included:

Private SSC Facebook Group – Post your toughest cases, ask questions, and get practical feedback from colleagues who have been there. It’s an instant sounding board and a constant stream of pearls.

Monthly Live Zoom Meetings – Every month, I lead a live online session where we cover timely, relevant topics and answer your pressing questions, with amazing guest speakers. You’ll always have fresh, actionable ideas you can take back to your practice the very next day.

Monthly Printed Newsletter – For our U.S. members, a physical newsletter arrives in your mailbox each month (PDF for international members). It’s packed with tips, strategies, and inspiration. Sometimes it’s nice to step away from a screen and learn the old-fashioned way.

Exclusive Invitations to In-Person SSC Courses – Be part of SSC Live! (our annual CE event that’s truly like no other). Or dive into our cutting-edge Regenerative TMD program, where you’ll be taught how to use the one-two punch of PRF and splint therapy to achieve breakthrough outcomes for your TMD patients. Our members lead the world in this area and our course is the only one like it—available to members only.

Unlimited Access to the Archive – You don’t just get what’s happening now—you unlock all the accumulated content from the past 8 years:

  • Hundreds of hours of Zoom recordings
  • Over 1,000 pages of past newsletters
  • Complete video recordings of past SSC Live! meetings
  • An ocean of clinical Q&A from the Facebook group covering almost every scenario you’ll ever encounter in sleep or TMD practice

That’s over 50 hours of AGD PACE content!

To put that in perspective, the average CE course is 7 hours per day (we all know that 7 hours of content is rarely actually delivered) but based on 7 hours per day the content of SSC 2.0 would be roughly equivalent to an 8 day program!

But that’s just the core content!

And here’s the truth: you literally cannot get this anywhere else. There isn’t another group on the planet with this depth of real-world case discussions, curated clinical education, and practical business insights all under one roof. This is why SSC attracts and retains not only beginner dentists but the best and most experienced in the field.

If you’re tired of wasting time on scattered courses, random webinars, and trial-and-error that costs you money, frustrates your staff, and doesn’t help your patients—this is where you stop. This is where you finally get the structure, the mentorship, and the community to confidently treat sleep and TMD patients at the highest level (including your family and friends).

And the best part? The more members we have, the stronger the group becomes. Every new voice, every new case, every new insight adds to the collective wisdom. Which means when you join, you don’t just benefit from SSC—you make SSC better for yourself and everyone else, because ALL OF US are smarter than any of us.

How SSC 2.0 works

  • On‑demand training you can watch at your pace—video, audio, transcripts. However you learn best, wherever works best for you.
  • Downloads: checklists, templates, letters to physicians, billing guides, forms and more. All the forms that took us over 20 years to create, all yours.
  • Community: a private, accepting and judgement free forum with experienced doctors sharing what actually works (no selling and no egos).
  • Live support: regular case reviews and Q&A so you never feel stuck alone, with the ability to search from years of questions and answers, likely finding the help you need immediately.
  • Team access: training has never been easier or more affordable. No more taking team members to beginner courses (at great expense) only to have them leave the practice (and take the training you paid for to another practice).
  • CE: certificates upon quiz completion, with over 50 hours of AGD PACE credits available.
Annual Tuition

SSC 2.0 Including All of the Content Above, is available to you at a tuition of either 6 monthly payments of $1,125, or 3 monthly payments of $2,250, or if you’d like to save 10%, 1 single payment of 6,075, for 12 full months of access… but most of our members stay year after year.

Bonuses

Bonus #1: Additional doctors in the same practice location may join SSC at 75% of regular tuition.

Bonus #2: Up to 5 non-dentist team members (dental assistant, hygienists, front office, etc.) receive their own SSC logins to be able to access all of the SSC content (this is a great way to train your team members for significantly less that taking them to in person courses).

Bonus #3: Want even more CE credits? Well, you’ll also have access to all of the original SSC 1.0 content! That’s an additional 45+ hours! Check it all out to see what’s changed since 2017 and what’s stayed the same. You’ve got your state CE requirements covered for the next 8 years!!!!

Bonus #4: SSC members receive various discounts and there are often group buy rates. The discount that is often the most impactful is with Burkhart Dental Supply, through whom restorative dentists can easily save far more annually than the total SSC tuition. In addition to Burkhart, there are also SSC discounts with Great Lakes Orthodontics, TAP, Glidewell, Dental Ray (for having MD radiologist reading of CBCTs), and more. If you 8 take advantage of these discounts, paying your annual tuition could actually save you thousands per year.

FAQs

How much time per week? The beauty of SSC is you can go at your own pace. Binge watch 8 hours in a day (ideally sitting by a pool at a resort with someone bringing you snacks and drinks), or watch in 20 minute sessions during lunch breaks. Just like your favorite streaming service, we’ll keep track of your progress and start you were you left off.

Do I need advanced imaging to start? No. You’ll learn when/why to order, what to look for, and how it changes your plan.

Will this clash with my occlusion philosophy? SSC is pragmatic, not dogmatic. You’ll learn a repeatable approach that integrates with what already works for you.

Can my team access the training? Yes—Getting your team on board is the fastest path to results (along with treating them and their family members… which they’ll ask for after watching the videos). Five members of your team will get their own access logins to keep track of what they’ve watched and where they are.

Is there help if I’m stuck? This is where the mentoring group comes in. You’re no longer alone.

CE credit? Over 50 hours of AGD PACE credit in SSC 2.0, and more than 45 hours of AGD PACE credit in SSC 1.0.

What if it’s not a fit? You’re covered by our 90 day no hassle guarantee… that about 5 people have taken advantage of out of more than 1000 SSC members.

Is the tuition the same every year? Yes, your tuition rate is LOCKED IN for as long as you remain a member of SSC (which most people do year after year because of the value they receive). If we increase the fees down the road, you’ll never pay more.

Is the tuition paid every year? Yes. SSC membership is renewed annually, and most of our members do maintain their membership year after year due to the tremendous value they receive. After the first year of membership we do offer our members to move to a monthly payment option, taking the $6750 and dividing it into 12 monthly payments, or they can still receive the 10% off with a single payment of $6075. You are encouraged to consider your commitment to SSC membership to be at least 2 years as it is very difficult to take full advantage of everything offered in SSC in a single 12 month period.

I’m excited to learn how to do PRF injections for TMJ problems. Is that taught in the coursework? PRF is discussed in many areas of the SSC 2.0 core content, and heavily in Level 3. Hands on training is also offered in our “Regenerative TMD” course, which goes into all of the details of blood draws, centrifugation, injection techniques, and splint therapy in conjunction with PRF. This hands-on course allows the students to perform the procedures on each other 9 under the watchful eyes of our highly experienced instructors. No such training exists anywhere else and The Regenerative TMD program is for SSC members only. Attendees watch/review several hours of SSC video content prior to arriving at the hands-on course so they are totally prepared to jump right in without the typical half a day (or more) lecture that is usually required at hands-on courses to bring everyone to the same level. SSC dentists are leading the world in the use of PRF for temporomandibular disorders.

Do the CE credits in SSC help me get boarded in Dental Sleep Medicine? No. The credits in SSC are AGD PACE accredited and are useful for your State Board and for AGD Fellowship and Mastership tracks. In order to become boarded in dental sleep medicine you will need to take a “mastery program.” These are offered by the AADSM itself, Tufts University, Michigan, and in 2025 Dr. Spencer started an accredited AADSM mastery program at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City that follows his more practical approach. For more information on this program go to https://schoolofdentistry-uofu.nbsstore.net/dental-sleep-medicine-mini-residency
